Janeu (White Sacred Thread / Yajnopavita)

🌼 Introduction

Janeu, also known as Yajnopavita or Sacred Thread, is a holy symbol of purity, discipline, and spiritual responsibility in Hinduism. It is traditionally worn by Brahmins, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas after the sacred Upanayana (thread ceremony). The three strands of Janeu represent Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh or alternatively thought, word, and deed – signifying a life of purity and dharma.
